Derick is drawn to work that makes a difference for people and gives him a high level of responsibility and accountability. He was behind a desk in Information Systems for a long time, but missed working with his hands and using his knowledge of residential construction. He jumped away from the desk with both feet – almost literally! He owned and operated a pool maintenance company and then got right into home inspecting. His family keeps him busy – he and his wife have fun keeping up with their two sons and energetic dog. They love going to Ravens games and just hanging out together.
